Making a huge impact on IWC wrestling reporter Scott Keith released a anonymous email sent to him which says that it comes from a WWE Staff member.
The email claimed a totally wild announcement that WWE will be releasing former World Champion Daniel Bryan next Monday.
It's notable that Keith is the same reporter who broke the news about John Cena taking time off 2 months ago. That's why this story was picked up very quickly.
Many big online sites like Whatculture wrote a article on this email. The email reads something like this:
“I work in WWE HR. I’m not high up the to tem pole by any means though. So on Friday one of myco-workers had to process a release – and that release was for Daniel Bryan.
Monday, January 18th is the date that is listed for when the deal is processed. Not sure exactly why – my coworker was very quiet about the whole thing other than letting a few people know.
And to be honest she didn’t let me know – I’m not in her inner circle. I just overheard her telling someone else and she was in shock.
Not sure why it’s a week away or anything like that as our usual releases are dated that very day. She seemed shocked by it all.”
This story gone viral in just hours. It started to gain so much attention that WWE Management had to contact both Whatculture and WrestlingInc and tell them that it's just a rumour and there is no truth in this.
This proved another time that Internet rumours are one of the most insane things in today's world. It's not long ago that a story floated about Bryan that he was being retired from wrestling. The story went viral and Bryan himself had to clear on his twitter that he was not being retired.
